A reading retreat and book trip in exotic Marrakech!

Visiting Marrakech in January offers mild weather, perfect for exploring vibrant souks, historic medinas, and exquisite gardens.

This trip will be focused on the book "Night Train to Marrakech" by Dinah Jefferies, a historical fiction novel set in 1960s Morocco.

We will have a local tour guide for our tour of Marrakech, to soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant city and uncover its charms. We’ll start at the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, absorbing its lively ambience, before we explore the enchanting souks that have enchanted visitors for hundreds of years.

We will visit the Le Jardin Majorelle museum, which is devoted to the work of Yves Saint Laurent as well as visiting the beautiful Jardin Majorelle gardens full of exotic plants and fountains. In addition, we will visit the Atlas mountains, where the book is partially set.
