Join us for a memorable week on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu, combining sun, sea, region-rich culture and meaningful reading with like-minded travellers. Whether you’re looking to unwind on the beach, explore historic little towns, share book-love over dinner or simply enjoy new scenery and company, this week is for you.
Our base for the week is the 3★ resort Apollo Studios in the resort village of Ipsos on Corfu. Set just a 10–15-minute walk from one of the island’s finest beaches, the studios are nestled against a lush, mountainous backdrop while still being close to local shops, bars and restaurants. Each studio has modern comforts including air‐conditioning, kitchenette, safe, hair-dryer and balcony.
Gerald Durrell’s My Family and Other Animals is a joyful love letter to Corfu — its wildlife, landscapes and eccentric charm. Basing ourselves on the island allows us to step directly into the world of the book: the olive-groved hills, turquoise bays and whitewashed villages that inspired his stories. During the week, we’ll be able to explore some of the places that shaped the Durrells’ lives — from the narrow lanes and grand arcades of Corfu Town (a UNESCO World Heritage site) to the quieter coves and countryside that so captivated Gerald.
